My love for dance music first started at about the age of 12. I’d constantly be annoying the neighbours and the family blasting loud music out of my room. This obsession grew stronger over the years and made me long for some decks of my own. My first were a pair of silver Gemini Direct drives which I got in 2000.

I still find myself being the anorak on a night out standing by the dj box watching their every move. That’s how I learnt how to mix really, just by observing and copying other dj’s mixes.

My music style has varied over the past few years ranging from trance to bouncy house, from hard house to cheesy dance up to now where I like to play funky house with a bit of retro thrown in for good measure.

My first experience of playing out was at the Isabar in 2002 when I played a few Thursday nights. This was good experience and got me itching to do more and get better.

A couple of years on I decided to make a cd and sent it out to various bars and clubs. This was probably the best thing I could have done as I landed a weekly Saturday set @ The Terrace – Lava Ignite Burnley and a residency at Bees Knees Accrington. I held the residency at Bees Knees for 6 months drumming funky house into the heads of the Accrington people.

I then gained a weekly Sunday slot at FX Bar in Warrington, then shortly after that I got the Saturday night residency at Blush nightclub in Keighley.

Then after months of longing for the chance to play @ XS nightclub I finally got the call I’d been waiting for. I was given a couple of sets over Christmas which led to a monthly Saturday set with Charly’s Angels. Aswell as XS I also play the first 2 Saturdays of the month at Rood Bar in Barrowford.

Its great being a dj as I get to meet new people every night and get paid to do what I love. Its such a great feeling to see the crowd going wild, you feed off it and it makes the night 10 times better.

Most embarrassing moment – @ Lava Ignite on May Bank holiday djing to a packed out terrace when halfway through a tune the power cut – Utter nightmare!!!

Most memorable set – So far it’s got to be my 1st Charlys Angels night – all my friends were there which made it even better.
